The Tomb of Wahtye is an Old Kingdom burial site in the Saqqara necropolis near Cairo, dating to around 4,400 years ago and belonging to Wahtye, a high-ranking priest under King Neferirkare Kakai of the Fifth Dynasty. The rock-cut tomb is exceptionally well-preserved, featuring colorful wall reliefs and hieroglyphs showing Wahtye with his family, as well as scenes of daily life and ritual offerings, along with carved niches and statues. Discovered in 2018, it is considered one of the most significant recent finds in Egyptian archaeology, providing valuable insight into funerary art, family life, and religious practices of ancient Egypt.
